Last night Monday 12/23/19 just before midnight, Mohegan FD’s FAS-Team was requested to a structure fire on East Court in the Lake Baldwin section of Town of Carmel (Putnam County). The Mahopac Falls FD was operating on scene of a heavily involved structure fire and a 3rd alarm was transmitted. Mohegan FD Car 2262, 2266, and Engine 256 with a total FAST crew of 7 members responded and upon arrival stoodby on scene. Our FAS-Team spilt up into 2 crews (one in front, one on rear), while the fire was extinguished. Firefighters fought the fire from the exterior and then fully extinguished the fire from the inside. Mohegan FD returned to service by 2:45am. Also assisting on scene were Mahopac FD, Somers FD, Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services Battalion 16 and Fire Investigation Team, Westchester County Dept of Emergency Services Battalion 17, and Carmel PD. The Putnam Valley FD relocated and stoodby at Mahopac Falls FD Station 1.
