On Fri night 10/27/17, Mohegan FD continued its month-long fire prevention program and visited Cub Scout Pack 238 of the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton School in Shrub Oak. Firefighters taught the cub scouts many fire prevention and safety tips in our smokehouse trailer. The trailer allowed our members to teach safety tips including household/kitchen accidents and also allow us to teach to exit a “smoke” filled room and feel for a hot door and find a second exit. Firefighters also have a tour of Engine 252 and showed off some of it’s equipment, including one of our new thermal imaging cameras. Participating were Car 2263, Engine 252, Rescue 32, and Utility 69 w/ Fire Prevention Trailer.
Units:
Car 2262, Engine 252, Utility 69 with Fire Prevention Trailer, and Rescue 32
