At approximately 11:15am Mohegan FD received a call reporting that a man had fallen possibly down an elevator shaft at the Barger Brook Senior Living development site in Yorktown. Car 2262, Engine 253, U40, 69B3, Yorktown PD, Yorktown Medic 1 and Medic 2 responded to the construction site. Upon arrival our members found a subject who fell approximately 25 feet through an opening on the third floor and landed on the first floor of the development. Due to the seriousness of the injuries, STAT Flight Air 1 was requested. Cars 2261, 2262, 2266, and Engine 255, then proceeded to the Administration Building off of East Main St. to establish a landing zone at the rear of the building. STAT Flight landed and received the patient who was handed off by Mohegan Personnel.
