Mohegan Hosts Training Drill

On Sun. 2/26, firefighters from Mohegan, Yorktown, Buchanan, and Putnam Valley gathered on Catherine St. in Yorktown for training purposes. The building, which will be torn down, was generously given to Mohegan for the day for training purposes by the Field Home-Holy Comforter Nursing Home. Firefighters trained in numerous training excercises, which included search and rescue, ladder operations, roof ventilation, wall breaching, and other firefighter survival techniques. This was a great opportunity to receive hands-on traing outside of the training centers and simulators, which proved to be successful.
