At 8:12pm on Tues. 11/20/07 Mohegan's FAS-Team was requested to the scene of working structure fire at 1328 Main St. between Field St and Charles St in the City of Peekskill. Upon arrival, Mohegan's Bravest were asked for more manpower to assist with fireground operations and water supply. Due to the older water mains in Peekskill, there were significant water problems. Montrose Engine 121 opened a hydrant at Main St and North Broad St and supplied water to the scene. Mohegan's Bravest opened 2 additional hydrants to bring more water to the scene. The first hydrant was at Rev. Wiggins Blvd and Park St and the second was on Main St and Hamilton Ave. This was a large lay of large diameter 5 inch hose, which just about emptied Engine 257's hosebed. We used 1,200 feet of 5" to get the water to the fire scene. Mohegan's Bravest operated on the scene until approximately midnight. Several other departments were on scene and standing by in Peekskill FD stations.
