On Friday evening July 20, 2007 at 7pm, members of the Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association and Mohegan EMS attended the annual Verplanck FD Parade. The parade was originally scheduled for Thursday night 7/19/07, but was cancelled due to inclement weather. With bright sunny sky's on Friday night Mohegan marched proudly through the streets of Verplanck, a small hamlet of the Town Of Cortlandt. At the end of the parade, members were entertained by the Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Society's annual festival that included a carnival, music, various vendors, and fireworks. Mohegan proudly won the "Best Regulation" trophy that was presented by the Verplanck FD. This is a fine example of how proud the members of the MVFA truely are.
