On Saturday 10/14/23 from 9am-1pm, Mohegan FD held a fire prevention detail at the Lowe’s Home Improvement Store of Yorktown on Crompond Rd (Rt 202/35). Our members set up a table inside and handed out fire prevention pamplets and discussed fire prevention tips. Our members also had a table displaying some of our equipment that we use. Freddie the Fire Truck and Sparky the Fire Dog made a special visit and interacted with approximately 150 kids through the morning inside the store. We also had Engine 254 for display for a portion of the day. This event was part of Lowe’s annual safety day. We thank Lowe’s for the invite! Due to the rainy weather we unfortunately could not utilize our Smoke Trailer outside out the abundance of safety. The pictures provided are from various members on hand.
