| This past Sunday a team of Mohegan Volunteer's decided that we needed to get in on the paintball action at the Long Island Paintball Arena. Braving rounds of paint fired by what appeared to be automatic weapons, our group dominated the field in skirmishes throughout the afternoon. When the call for "Walk on's " came, our players answered with a pod full of paint to aggressively defend our bunkers. With no regard to who was in our way we dodged flying paint balls and looked for the kill shot.
Our initial reaction was the mess on the playing field and how there was no way we would kneel in this slop. But after the first volley of ammo arrived, it was easy to find yourself face down returning fire. By the second or third round, we were covered in a rainbow of colors from head to toe sliding around like kids in a mud puddle.
With first timers and seasoned players attending, the Members of Mohegan's Bravest are looking forward to our next adventure real soon. |
