At approximately 11:42pm on Saturday 2/8/20, Mohegan FD’s FAS-Team was requested to respond to a active chimney fire on Pleasant Rd in the Lake Peekskill section of Putnam Valley (Putnam County). Mohegan FD Car 2262, 2266, 22610, and Engine 256 responded and upon arrival found Putnam Valley FD Chief 24-1-3, Tanker 24-4-2, and Rescue 24-6-1 plus Continental Village FD Car 2132 and Engine 231 (first due) on scene of this active chimney fire. Mohegan FD stoodby on scene as the FAST company during the fireground operations. Mohegan FD cleared the scene by 1:15am. Continental Village FD was originally relocated and standing by for Putnam Valley FD due to Putnam Valley FD, Kent FD, and Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance Corps operating at a prolonged propane gas leak. Yorktown Heights FD then was relocated to cover Putnam Valley FD during both incidents. Photos are courtesy of FF LaRocco unless otherwise noted.
