Busy Thanksgiving Day

Today (Thanksgiving) 11/28/19, Mohegan FD responded for a motor vehicle accident (head-on) with injuries on East Main St (Rt 6) at the Bear Mountain Parkway interchange in Cortlandt. Upon arrival, a 2 car accident was found with 1 injury. The patient was transported by Mobile Life Support Services to a local hospital for treatment. Mohegan FD stoodby and mitigated fluids in the roadway and assisted with traffic control. Units on scene were Car 2261, 2262, 2264, 2267, Engine 254, Engine 256, and Utility 80. Also assisting on scene were Cortlandt Regional Paramedics, Westchester County Police Department, and New York State Police. So far today, we have responded to a total of 6 fire calls. We have responded to an odor of gas from an oven, an oven fire, and a residential fire alarm activation. Photos are courtesy of FF Lourenco.
