This afternoon Tues 10/15/19 just after 4pm, Mohegan FD’s FAS-Team was requested to respond to a confirmed structure fire on Bleloch Ave in the City of Peekskill. Peekskill FD (volunteer and career) were on scene with fire showing from the 2nd floor apartment. Also assisting on scene were U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Montrose FD, Buchanan FD, Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance Corps, City of Peekskill Police Department, and Westchester County Dept of Emergency Services Battalion 10 and Cause and Origin Team. Continental Village FD and Yorktown Heights FD relocated and cover Peekskill FD. This was the 4th fire/rescue call (motor vehicle accident with injuries on the Taconic State Pkwy, and 2 commercial alarms) since 3pm. Mohegan FD was operating with Peekskill FD (pre-planned dual response for Peekskill FD Tower Ladder 45) at a commerical fire alarm at Hudson Valley Hospital Center when Peekskill FD was dispatched to this fire. Mohegan FD cleared Peekskill FD units to respond to the fire. All photos are courtesy of Peekskill EMS.
