On Tuesday 10/8/19, Mohegan FD visited Lakeland Central School District’s Van Cortlandtville Elementary School on East Main St (Rt 6) in Mohegan Lake. Our members were on hand with an indoor fire prevention presentation designed for all the grades. Our members taught safety and fire prevention lessons to approximately 575 students from Kindegarden through 5th Grade. On hand we also had “Sparky the Fire Dog” and “Freddie the Fire Truck”.
