At approximately 7:10pm this evening Sunday 7/7/19, Mohegan FD, Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Empress Emergency Medical Services/Yorktown Paramedics, and Yorktown Police Department responded to a a reported motor vehicle accident on Mahopac St (Rt 6N) in Jefferson Valley. Upon arrival, units found a one vehicle rollover after striking a utility pole. Mohegan FD assisted on scene by closing Rt 6N from East Main St to the Westchester/Putnam County line. Mohegan EMS 69B3 transported the only occupant to the Westchester Medical Center for treatment. Mohegan FD mitigated fluids in the roadway and stood by until the vehicle was unrighted and removed by a tow truck. Con Edison was notified for minor utility pole damage and Verizon was notified for telephone wires that were hanging. All units cleared the scene by 8:30pm. Mohegan FD Car 2262, 2263, 2264, 2266, Engine 252, Engine 255, Rescue 32, and Utility 80 operated on scene.
