With the close of our 2019 Firemen's Association of the State of New York #RecruitNY campaign, we had a very successful year! Between 10am-2pm today Sunday 4/28/19, our Chiefs, Officers, and Membership were on hand with our Fire Headquarters open to any prospective members who were interested in joining. Today, we had an amazing turnout from prospective members. A total of 6 applications were handed out, with 4 applicants fully completing their application on site and interviewed by our membership committee. We also had an additional 2 applications partially filled out and 1 application handed out for EMS with Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association Volunteer Ambulance Corps who were also on hand. We want to thank some local leaders who stopped by who support this recruitment drive and also who have assisted us in this most important event to gain new members. We thank New York State Assemblyman Kevin Byrne for spending time with us today and showing his support to our organization and this recruitment campaign. We also thank Matt Slater stopping by and also Town of Yorktown Councilmen Tom Diana and Ed Lachterman who stopped by to show their support. We are always looking for new members and if you are 16 years or older and are interested, please stop by Fire Headquarters on Rt 6 and pick up an application anytime. If anybody has any questions, don’t hesitate and email Membership@moheganfire.com or call us at 914-526-0823. We would like to extend a big thank you to our Membership Committee Chairman Commissioner Joe Stewart and also 1st Assistant Chief Chris Gravius for their efforts and behind the scenes work in setting up today and participation in both high school career days.
