Today Sun 4/23/17, Mohegan FD and Mohegan VAC were on hand at the 2nd annual The Road Knights Auto Club Car and Truck Show, which was held today on Commerce St in downtown Yorktown. Today's event was combined with the "Yorktown Against Heroin Day". Mohegan FD was on hand displaying our Engine 251, our 1941 Pumper Antique, along with our members assisting our sister organization Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association Volunteer Ambulance Corps. The VAC displayed their ambulance 69B1 and had a table available for brochures and applications for both our organizations. Our members main drive for being present today was to bring out the awareness of the heroin epidemic which has been affecting our community greatly in recent times. Because it was also Yorktown Against Heroin Day, Yorktown Police Department, New York State Police, and Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps were also on hand at this car/truck show.
