At 1:22pm on Tues 11/15/16, Mohegan FD was requested for the 3rd time in less than 24 hrs to respond mutual aid to Putnam County. This time, Mohegan FD's FAS-Team was requested to respond to Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department for heavily involved commercial structure fire on Miller Rd in Mahopac. Mohegan FD Car 2264, DC40, DC42, and Engine 256/FAS-Team responded within minutes and upon arrival took up the FAS-Team position. Our FAS-Team was eventually put to work to assist in extinguishment, while Yorktown Heights Volunteer FD became the 2nd FAS-Team upon their arrival. Mohegan FD assisted with extinguishment and released once the fire was extinguished. Also assisting Mahopac FD on scene were Mahopac Falls FD, Somers FD, Carmel FD, and Croton Falls FD. All Mohegan Fire units went back into service and returned to our district by 4pm. Photos courtesy of FF LaRocco.
