On Friday evening 6/24/16 at 8:49pm, Mohegan FD and EMS, with the Yorktown Paramedics were dispatched to Rt 202 (Crompond Rd) in the area of Garden Ln in Yorktown for a reported motor vehicle accident rollover. Upon arrival of Car 2264, 1 vehicle was found to strike a utility pole and overturn onto its roof, with the driver still entrapped in the vehicle. Mohegan Fire units quickly gained access to the vehicle without the need for hydraulic tools, where the patient was removed and patient care was transferred over to the Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association Volunteer Ambulance Corps crew. The patient was treated and transported to a local hospital by EMS, while remaining Mohegan Fire units assisted Yorktown Police Department with scene lighting, and traffic control. All units cleared the scene by 9:45pm. Units operating on scene were Car 2263, 2264, 2267, DC38, Engine 252, Engine 258, and 69B3.
