Car Strikes Fast Food Restaurant

At 8:06am on Thursday 4/21/16, Mohegan Fire and EMS were dispatched to the McDonalds in the Cortlandt Town Center on Rt 6 in Mohegan Lake for a rescue assignment of a reported vehicle into the building with injuries. Upon arrival of units, one vehicle was found resting on top of a concrete garbage can and striking the building with minimal structural damage. The driver of the vehicle refused medical attention by 69B1 and there were no other injuries. Cortlandt Code Enforcement was requested to the scene,due to the vehicle striking the building. Mohegan Fire units stoodby and returned to service by 9am when the vehicle was removed. Operating units were Car 2264/Utility 80, Engine 255, Engine 257, Ladder 35, Rescue 32, 69B1, 35Medic1 (Cortlandt Paramedics), NY State Police, and FM26 (Cortlandt Code Enforcement).
