Tonight Thurs 1/14/16, 6 Mohegan Firefighters officially graduated their NYS Firefighter I curriculum at the Westchester County Dept of Emergency Services Fire Training Center in Valhalla. Tonight's ceremony of 84 volunteer firefighters included bagpipes by the Westchester County Firefighters Emerald Society, and speeches by Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, the WCDES Chiefs, and WCDES Commissioner John Cullen. The Westchester County Volunteer Firemen's Association was also on hand. The NYS Firefighter I training now includes Hazardous Material Operations training and Firefighter Survival training, which totals approximately 100 hours of combined training! This training, plus our dept's annual bailout training now qualifies these members as interior firefighters. Tonight we congratulate the following:

FF Marshal Montenegro (Class 15-127)
FF Greg Rivera (Class 15-127)
