4th FAS-Team Response Of 2016

On Saturday evening 1/9/16 shortly after 5pm, Mohegan FD was requested to respond mutual aid to the City of Peekskill for a confirmed structure fire on Hudson Ave. Mohegan FD Car 2261, 2264, 2266, DC40, Engine 255/FAS-Team responded and assisted on scene until released by Peekskill FD at approximately 6:15pm. The fire, originally reported as a residential house, was actually a detached garage behind a residence, but created an exposure issue to the residence. The main body of fire was knocked down by Peekskill FD by 5:30pm with 2 hoselines. Also assisting on scene were Buchanan FD Car 2551 and Utility 12/Cascade, Peekskill EMS 75B1, 7506/Rehab Unit, WCDES Battalion 17, Peekskill PD, and Peekskill OEM. Continental Village FD Engine and Verplanck FD Tower Ladder 46 stood by covering the city during the fire. This FAS-Team call was our 4th FAS-Team call so far this year (only 9 days) to respond mutual aid to our neighboring depts to assist at fires! Other FAS-Team calls so far this year were to Putnam Valley, Mahopac Falls (cancelled enroute), and Mahopac (cancelled enroute). Photos are courtesy of Peekskill FD.
