Tonight, Wed 5/27/15, Mohegan FD hosted a mutual aid brush fire operations training at Station #3 (Furnace Woods Station). With the area being in a moderate drought and brush fires being persistent, a drill like this was felt necessary, even though this drill was reserved in our training calendar since this past winter. Lead by Mohegan FD Capt Chris Gravius and Career Lt Tommy Eade, the various departments discussed their operations, and displayed their equipment. All members from each department familiarized themselves with each other's equipment and operated it. Besides Mohegan Firefighters, the following neighboring fire departments participated with combined had a total of 55 firefighters:

Yorktown FD:
Mini Attack 8 (brush truck)

Mahopac Falls FD:
19-3-1 (brush truck)

Putnam Valley FD:
24-3-1 (brush truck) and gator

Continental Village FD:
14-3-1 (brush truck) and 14-8-1 (gator)
