On Sunday, 4/26/15 from 10am-2pm, we opened our doors at Fire Headquarters for anyone to stop by if they were interested in joining. This was all under a New York Statewide recruitment campaign called Recruit NY. Hundreds of firehouses statewide participated under this recruitment by set up by the Firemen's Association Of New York. We at Mohegan FD are pleased to announce that this recruitment campaign was successful for us! 1 applicant's paperwork process was completed and this person was fully interviewed by our membership committee and the background and membership process has already started. 1 other applicant's paperwork process was started today and will be completed in a short time. 2 other applications were picked up by interested individuals and we are expecting them to be dropped off completed! All these perspective applicants all stopped by today and started the joining process all due to this Recruit NY campaign. We are always looking for new members to join our Fire or EMS organization.
