On Sunday 2/15/15 at approximately 1:30pm, Mohegan FD was requested to respond to a working structure fire on Stephanie Ln in Mahopac (Putnam County). Mahopac FD arrived on scene of what was a reported chimney fire and found heavy fire through the roof of the residence and transmitted a working fire. Mohegan FD Car 22610, DC40, and Engine 255/FAS-Team responded and set up in the front of the residence. Members also set up ground ladders in the front, while an aggressive interior attack was being performed by Mahopac FD and other mutual aid departments. The fire was quickly knocked down and those firefighters preformed extensive overhaul in sub-freezing temperatures in the single digits. All Mohegan Fire units cleared the scene by 3:30pm. Also assisting Mahopac FD were Mahopac Falls FD, Somers FD, Brewster FD, and Croton Falls FD. Photos courtesy of Deputy Chief Keesler
