On Sunday 1/25/15 at 2;11pm, Mohegan FD's FAS-Team was requested to Mahopac Falls FD for a possible structure fire on Entrance Way in the Lake Secor section. Mahopac Falls FD arrived and found a heavily involved structure fire with an exposure issue to a neighboring residence. Car 2262, 2265, DC40, and Engine 255 responded with a crew of 8 FAS-Team members and upon arrival immediately began to size up the scene and perform firefighter accountability. As members began to set up, Mahopac Falls FD command pulled all firefighters out from interior firefighting, due to heavy fire on the 1st and 2nd floor and deteriorating conditions. Putnam Valley FD arrived as a 2nd FAS-Team in the front, while Mohegan assumed the FAS-Team role in the back. Mahopac Falls and Mahopac Firefighters were knocking down the heavy fire defensively from the exterior with numerous hoselines and a deck gun from Mahopac Falls Engine/Tanker 19-4-2. Once the fire was knocked down, Putnam Valley FD went to work to assist in extinguishment and Mohegan split into 2 teams so the front and rear had teams. Due to the resident suffering a medical emergency, Mohegan VAC 69B3 responded to the scene and assumed the EMS standby role. Mohegan FD units returned to service at approximately 5pm, once the fire was extinguished. 69B3 went into service at approximately 6pm.
