On Wednesday 11/26/14 at 10:54pm, Mohegan FD's FAS-Team was requested to respond to a working structure fire at 901 Main St in the City of Peekskill. Mohegan FD responded and set up in the courtyard of the 6 story apartment building, while Peekskill and Buchanan FD's operated on scene. The fire was contained to 1 apartment on the 3rd floor, and Peekskill Firefighters checked the upper floors for smoke and fire extension plus assisted in the evacuation of residents. Mohegan FD assisted on scene until released within 1 hour. Also assisting on scene were Peekskill EMS and Peekskill PD. This was the 5th fire/rescue of the day in the snowstorm.
