On Thursday evening 11/20/14 at 7:44pm, Mohegan FD's FAS-Team was requested to respond to a working structure fire on Nottingham Circle in Mahopac. Car 2265, 22610, and Engine 255/FAS-Team responded and upon arrival, Mahopac FD Command, requested evacuation tones to remove all firefighters from the structure due to high concentration of natural gas fumes in the area from a ruptured natural gas main next to the residence. Mohegan FD made sure all firefighters were accounted for and in a safe location. Once the gas main was cut off, crews began interior operations again. Mohegan FD broke into 2 teams. One team set up ground ladders to the 2nd floor and the 2nd team stood by in front of the building. Mohegan FD operated on scene until released by Mahopac FD command at approximately 10:30pm. Also assisting on scene were Mahopac Falls FD and Somers FD.
