On the weekend of Sat. 6/21/14, Mohegan Firefighters participated in the 125th Annual Hudson Valley Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention Parade held in upstate West Glens Falls. This year, the convention was hosted by the West Glens Falls FD. Mohegan Firefighters began the weekend on Friday byparticipating in the Putnam County Fire Chief's Association Golf Outing held at the Cronin's Golf Course in Warrensburg, NY. This year, Mohegan Firefighters wore special golf shirts designed in the memory of our beloved member and avid golfer Barbara Wolert. On Saturday morning, Mohegan members cleaned and detailed up our apparatus for the parade. After the parade, members had a nice barbeque dinner and enjoyed the Adirondack Mountain scenery of Lake George. Although no trophies were won, every member who went up for this trip had fun! We would like to congratulate one of our mutual aid departments, the Buchanan FD, for winning Best Overall and bringing home that trophy to Westchester County! We look forward to attending again next year as the convention will be held in Lake George.
