First Due Structure Fire

On Saturday morning 3/20/21 at approximately 5:15am, Mohegan FD was dispatched to Enrico Dr in Cortlandt for a possible structure fire. Upon arrival, an exterior fire was found with extension into the residence. Firefighters quickly opened up the exterior and interior and extinguished the fire using one 1 3/4” hoseline from Engine 256. The 10-75 was transmitted, which brought Putnam Valley FD’s FAS-Team, Buchanan FD’s Utility 12 (Cascade Unit), Mohegan EMS, Peekskill EMS 7506 (Rehab Unit), and Westchester County Dept of Emergency Services Battalion 10 and Cause and Origin Team to the scene. Also assisting on scene were New York State Police and the Town of Cortlandt Code Enforcement. All units cleared the scene by 7:30am. Mohegan FD units on scene were Car 2261, 226-40, 2264, 2266, 2267, 2269, Engine 252, Engine 256, Ladder 35, Rescue 32, and Utility 80. Montrose FD and Yorktown FD relocated and stoodby at Mohegan FD’s Headquarters and also responded to a commercial fire alarm activation in our district. Photos courtesy of Peekskill EMS.
