FAS-Team Responds to Putnam Valley

At approximately 4:42pm this afternoon Sat 8/8/20, Mohegan FD’s FAS-Team was requested by Putnam Valley FD to respond to a confirmed structure fire on Tanglewylde Rd in the Lake Peekskill of Putnam Valley (Putnam County). Putnam Valley FD was on scene and made an aggressive attack and knocked down the fire quickly. Mohegan FD’s FAS-Team responded and once on scene stoodby as FAST and also set up a 35 ft ground ladder in the rear of the house. Once the fire was knocked down, Mohegan FD assisted with overhaul operations. Also assisting Putnam Valley FD were Mahopac Falls FD, Continental Village FD, Garrison Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Putnam County Sheriff's Department, and Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services. The Somers FD relocated and stoodby at Putnam Valley FD Station 1. Mohegan FD units on scene were Car 2262, 2264, 2266, and Engine 256 with a total of 8 FAS-Team members. All Mohegan FD units cleared by 6:45pm.
