Gas Pumped Knocked Over

At 8:25pm this evening Thursday 8/13/20, Mohegan FD (volunteer and career), Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Cortlandt Regional Paramedics, and New York State Police were dispatched to the Mobil Station at the corner of East Main St (Rt 6) and Locust Ave in Cortlandt for a motor vehicle accident with injuries with a damaged gas pump. Upon arrival, a 2 vehicle accident was found with a gas pump fully knocked over and damaged. The emergency gas shut off switch was quickly activated by first arriving units and there was no gasoline spill found. Both operators refused medical attention and units secured the area with fire line tape and ensured all the pumps were turned off to prevent any electrical sparks. All units cleared the scene by 9:15pm. Mohegan FD units on scene were Car 2261, 2262, 2263, 2266, 2269, 22610, Engine 256, Engine 257, and Rescue 32.
