Rollover with Pin On Rt 6

This morning Thursday 5/21/20 at approximately 9:15am, Mohegan FD (volunteer and career) was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with extrication involving a rollover at Route 6 and Mill St in Shrub Oak. Upon arrival of units, a 2 car accident was found, with 1 vehicle on its side with the driver entrapped in the vehicle. Firefighters quickly set up our Rescue Jacks along with cribbing to stabilize the vehicle and placed multiple Hurst tools into operation. The driver was then freed from the vehicle and was treated by Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance Corps. The other vehicle’s driver was also treated on scene and was transported by Mobile Life Support Services EMS. Both drivers were transported to the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. Firefighters also assisted with mitigating fluids in the roadway with speedy dry and our Fire-Police members assisted with traffic control. Also assisting on scene were the Yorktown Police Department and the Yorktown/Empress Emergency Medical Services Paramedics. All units cleared the scene by 10:25am. Units on scene were Car 2262, 2264, 2269, Engine 252, Engine 256, Rescue 32, and Utility 11.
