This evening Sunday 5/10/20 at approximately 6:30pm, Mohegan FD (volunteer and career), Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Cortlandt Regional Paramedics, New York State Police, and Westchester County Police Department were dispatched to the Bear Mountain Parkway in the area of our district line with the City of Peekskill for a reported motor vehicle accident with injuries involving a rollover. Peekskill Volunteer Fire Department/Peekskill Professional Firefighters Local 2343, Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and City of Peekskill Police Department were also dispatched due to conflicting reports of the exact location on the Bear Mountain Pkwy. Upon arrival of units, the incident was found to be in our jurisdiction and Peekskill units returned to service. Units found a 1 vehicle accident was found with the vehicle off the roadway into the woods and rolled over onto its driver side. The vehicle’s operator refused medical attention and Mohegan FD assisted with traffic control. Units on scene were Mohegan FD Car 2261, 2262, 2263, 2266, 2269, Engine 254, Engine 256, and Rescue 32. All units cleared the scene by 7:30pm.
