Today Saturday 5/9/20, Mohegan FD assisted at 2 funeral details within our district. The first detail was at 12pm where our members set up a large American flag from Ladder 10 at the entrance to the Assumption Cemetery located on Oregon Rd in Cortlandt. This detail was for retired City of Yonkers FD (Yonkers Firefighters Local 628/Yonkers Uniformed Fire Officers Association) Lieutenant Richard R. Ruyack, Sr. This detail was handled by Car 2261, 2263, 2264, 2265, 2266, 2269, Engine 252, Engine 256, Ladder 10, Rescue 32, and Utility 11. The 2nd detail was set up at 12:30pm at the Yorktown Funeral Home on East Main St in Shrub Oak. This second funeral detail assisted the NYPD with the funeral services for NYPD Detective Christopher McDonnell.
