February 4, 2010

On Thurs. 2/4/10 at 8:40pm, units were dispatched to a hazardous condition on DiRubbio Drive in Cortlandt. Upon arrival on the scene, Car 2262 discovered a vehicle into a house. The operator of the vehicle was delivering pizza to the home, when it began rolling down the driveway and into the house. The vehicle struck the corner of the house and crushed the Con Edison electric meter. The vehicle was also hanging off the retaining wall next to the driveway. Luckly there was no structural damage to the house. No one was injured in the accident. The vehicle was removed from the home by a tow truck and Con Edison Electric's Emergency Crew was on scene to handle the electrical emergency. All units cleared by 9:30pm. New York State Police and Westchester County Police assisted on scene.

Units: 226-2, 226-7, 226-0 (DC Keesler), E-258, NYSP, WCPD
