On Wed. 1/27/10 shortly before 10am, Mohegan FD was requested to respond with the FAS-Team to a working structure fire on Moore Dr in Lake Shenerock section of Somers. Mohegan Car 2261, 22610, and Engine 258 responded and took up the FAS-Team assignment on the scene. Somers units were encountered with a working fire in the basement section, which was extending to the first floor. Once the fire was under control, Mohegan units went to work and assisted with ventilation and overhaul in the basement area. Also assisting Somers FD on scene was Mahopac FD, Mahopac Falls FD, Croton Falls FD, Yorktown FD and Bedford Hills FD. Mohegan units picked up at approx. 1:30pm.
