On Tues. 1/26/10 just before noon, Mohegan units were alerted to a possible structure fire on Parmly Rd in the Mohegan Lake section. Upon arrival of units, a working structure fire was found with fire on the first floor, bringing the first alarm assignment. On the first alarm assignment, Yorktown FD FAS-Team, Mahopac Falls FD Rescue 19-6-1, Mohegan EMS, and Battalion 17 were requested to the scene. Members stretched 2 hoselines and initiated an interior attack. Fire was found to have extended into the second floor, plus into the attic. Members also cut a vent hole inj the roof to ventilate the smoke and heat. Yorktown FD did not have enough members for their FAS-Team, so Peekskill FD Rescue 134/FAS-Team was then requested to the scene. Yorktown FD Engine 270 then responded to the scene with additional manpower to assist. Members extinguished the fire and all units went back into service at approx. 2pm. Also asisting on the scene were Mohegan Fire-Police, Yorktown PD, and Westchester County Cause and Origin Team Zone 4.
