Early this evening Saturday 7/20/19, Mohegan FD marched in the Verplanck Fire Department 90th Anniversary Parade. This parade was held in conjunction with the 97th annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s Italian Festival in Verplanck. Due to the extreme heat and hot weather, the parade route was shortened and those departments normally wearing the full Class A uniform jackets were allowed to march without them and not get penalized in the judging competition. With only 15 members participating and not wearing our Class A uniform jackets, we marched well and were awarded 2nd Best Regulation uniform and Best Command Vehicle for Car 2262. Some photos are courtesy of Kemper Fire Wire and J&D Photography. Vehicles in the parade were Car 2261, 2262, 2263, Engine 251 (1941 Mack Antique Pumper), and Engine 254. Utility 50 and Utility 69 were utilized as personnel and equipment transporters to the parade.
