FAS-Team on Scene in Peekskill

At approximately 6:10pm this evening Sunday 11/25/18, Mohegan FD’s FAS-Team was requested to a confirmed structure fire on Main St in the downtown section of the City of Peekskill. Mohegan FD Car 2261, 2263, 2267, Engine 257 responded with a FAS-Team crew of 9 and upon arrival stood by in front of the building, which was a taxpayer type building with a commercial storefront on the 1st floor with apartments on the 2nd and 3rd flooors. Mohegan FD members also set up a 35 ft ground ladder in case emergency egress from the 3rd floor was needed. Mohegan FD cleared the scene at approximately 8:15pm by Peekskill FD when the fire was fully extinguished. Also assisting on scene were Buchanan FD, Montrose FD, Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Cortlandt Regional Paramedics, Montrose VA FD, and Westchester County Dept of Emergency’s Battalion 10 and Cause and Origin Team. Continental Village FD and Verplanck Fire Department relocated and covered the City of Peekskill during the fire.
