On Saturday 9/22/18, Mohegan FD participated in Yorktown Rehabilitation and Nursing Center’s Fall Festival on their grounds located on Catherine St in Yorktown. Mohegan FD was on hand between 11am and 4pm showing off our Engine 251 (1941 Mack Antique Pumper) and Engine 254. Members also handed out pamphlets, giveaways, and plastic firefighter hats. Other attractions for the day for the kids and adults included live music, petting zoo, face painting, magic tricks, food, pony rides, pumpkin picking, blow up rides, and more. It was great weather to welcome in the autumn season. Units attending the fall festival were Car 2262, Engine 251 (Antique), Engine 254, and Utility 69. Look for us in the upcoming weeks attending numerous fire prevention events throughout the area. If you see us out there just stop by and say hello. For our teenagers and adults (16 and older) we are always looking for more members to join. If you are interested in joining and see us, just ask us!
