On Monday 7/2/18, Mohegan FD proudly took delivery of our new Engine 254. Engine 254 is a 2018 Seagrave Marauder II Program Pumper. The apparatus features a 500 horsepower Cummins motor, 1750 gallon per minute Waterous pump, 750 gallon water tank, and 30 gallon on board foam tank. This new Rescue-Engine was bought through Santo Curro, President of Hudson Valley Fire Equipment, LLC in Brewster, NY. This new rig is a program pumper, which was designed and built by Seagrave Fire Apparatus which Mohegan FD bought just as the apparatus was finished on the assembly line. The apparatus was delivered to Hudson valley Fire Equipment and Mohegan FD worked with Hudson Valley Fire Equipment, LLC on site with the apparatus graphics design, and radios/equipment delivery for radios/tool mounting. The new Engine 254 will replace Engine 253, a 1994 Freightliner/Allegheny, which has now been retired, after a long run as the first due apparatus out of Station #2 up until recently. The new Engine 254 will be placed into service in the near future at the Furnace Woods Fire Station (LMFD Station #3) on Croton Ave in Cortlandt . Engine 254 is identical to our new Engine 255, which is a 2017 Seagrave program pumper delivered in 2017. All the photos are courtesy of Hudson Valley Fire Equipment, LLC.
