This evening, Mohegan FD took delivery of our new Rescue 32. The new Rescue 32 is a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD 4x4 4 door chassis with a refurbed 2005 Swab utility box and will be utilized as a light duty rescue vehicle. The utility box was refurbed from our 2005 Ford/Swab which was decommissioned last year. This new vehicle was outfitted with a Whelen lighting package, Havis custom console, pushbar, running boards, custom paint/lettering, rear bumper, and roll out tool board that will house additional equipment and tools. This vehicle will act as a fire/rescue support and EMS First Response vehicle. The new vehicle’s rear compartment was modified with a pull out tool board to outfit additional equipment. This vehicle was outfitted by New England Fire Equipment & Apparatus Corporation in Connecticut. The unit was officially placed into service on Friday 6/8/18. Photos are courtesy of FF S. Stretz.

We will definitely not be having a true wetdown and at this time there is no dry down/dedication event planned or scheduled
