At approximately 5:52pm this evening Fri 12/22/17, Mohegan FD, along with Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Yorktown Paramedics, and the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to Old Yorktown Rd (Rt. 132) in the area of Suncrest Ave for a reported motor vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arrival, units found a one car accident with the vehicle leaving the roadway, driving through a fence, striking a vehicle in the homeowner’s driveway, and stopping in the brush. With significant damage to the vehicle’s windshield (with the fence impaling through it), the patient luckily only suffered very minor injuries. The patient was transported by Mohegan EMS 69B1 to NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. Units operating were Car 2261, 2263, 226-10, 226-38, Engine 252, Engine 253, Rescue 32, and Utility 80. All units cleared by 6:30pm.
