At approximately 5:48am this morning 12/17/17, Mohegan FD’s FAS-Team was requested to respond mutual aid to Mahopac FD for a confirmed structure fire on Kia Ora Blvd in Mahopac (Putnam County). Mohegan FD Car 2261, 2263, and Engine 257/FAS-Team responded and upon arrival stoodby while Mahopac FD extinguished the fire. Once the fire was extinguished, Mohegan FD was released from the scene and returned to service at 7:15am. Mahopac Falls FD provided standby for the Mahopac FD during the fire. This is the 2nd FAS-Team call in the early morning hours this weekend. Yesterday morning, Mohegan FD assisted at a structure fire in the City of Peekskill.
