2017 Hurricane Drive

On Friday 9/29/17, The Mohegan FD completed our 2017 Hurricane Relief Drive! We would like to thank EVERYONE who generously donated clothes, hygiene products, water, non-perishable foods, and cleaning supplies over the past month! With conjunction with the Westchester County Association of Fire Chiefs, the supplies will be delivered to the NY National Guard in the Bronx to be immediately distributed to much needed areas in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands! The drive began in late August when Hurricane Harvey devastated Texas and Louisiana. Unfortunately, the hurricane drive continued when Hurricane Irma devastated the Leeward Islands, Virgin Islands and eventually Florida. If this wasn't enough, Hurricane Maria then devastated the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico as well.
