On Fri night 8/25/17 at 9:47pm, Mohegan FD was requested by New York State Police to assist them with traffic control at Rt. 6 and Locust Ave in Cortlandt. The traffic light at this intersection was completely out and Con Edison Electric was on scene working to restore the electric to the light. Once power was restored, New York State Department of Transportation was requested to respond to reset the traffic light to a proper function. Mohegan Firefighters and Fire-Police members assisted with traffic control and scene lighting until the traffic light was reset and operating properly by NYSDOT. Mohegan FD units on scene operating were Car 2261, 2263, 2265, 22610, Engine 252, Utility 50 (Fire-Police Unit), and Utility 80. Units cleared the scene at approximately 11:25pm.
