On Saturday 6/17/17, Mohegan FD members once again participated in the annual Hudson Valley Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention Dress Parade. This year, the 128th Hudson Valley Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention Parade was hosted by the West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Company in Queensbury, NY which is just south of Lake George. Although no trophies were won, this trip has become a tradition over the past 8 years that our members look forward to. Because of the long distance, not all our members attend this parade and our district is always covered for any fire/rescue calls. We would also like to thank our band, The Connecticut Rebels of '76, who also participated and made the trip north. They won the "Best Drum and Fife Corps" trophy. While members were upstate, other members on the home front participated in the 2017 Yorktown Community Day at the Jefferson Valley Mall (separate article).
