At 6:43pm this evening Mon 2/13/17 during a high wind warning, Mohegan FD and New York State Police were dispatched to Locust Ave in Cortlandt for a reported tree and wires down on top of a detached garage. Upon arrival, units found a tree and secondary wires down on top of a car in the driveway and the garage. The garage did sustain structural damage from the tree falling. Con Edison Electric was requested to the scene, along with Town of Cortlandt Code Enforcement. Mohegan FD units operating on scene were Car 2264, Engine 252, Engine 256, Ladder 35, and Rescue 32. Due to no hazards in the garage, Mohegan FD secured the area and all units cleared the scene by 7:20pm.
