On Sunday 11/20/16, Mohegan FD proudly, with the assistance of the Westchester County Police Department, escorted the Walter Panas High School Varsity Girls Volleyball Team from the Annsville Circle in Cortlandt to Walter Panas High School on Croton Ave. The Lady Panthers from WPHS won the New York State Class A Varsity Girls Volleyball Championship today at the Glens Falls Civic Center. We congratulate these ladies, as this was the first ever NYS Championship of any sport ever won by Walter Panas! Mohegan FD apparatus in the escort were Car 2261, Car 2263, Engine 252, Engine 256, Muster Team "Engine 2" (Previous Engine 256), Utility 50, Utility 80 with officers 2261, 2263, 2265, 2266, 2267, and 22610. Car 2264, Engine 258, and Ladder 35 secured the entrance way to Walter Panas High School for their arrival. Congratulations to Walter Panas High School and the Lakeland Central School District in this accomplishment! Many of our members are alumni's of Walter Panas and are also extremely proud!
