On Monday 5/4/15 at approximately 3:25pm, Mohegan FD's FAS-Team was requested to assist Mahopac FD at a commercial structure fire on South Lake Blvd in Mahopac (Putnam County). Car 2264, 2269, and Engine 257/FAS-Team responded and set up in the rear of this building, which held numerous businesses. Once the fire was knocked down and placed under control by Mahopac FD, Mohegan FD assisted Mahopac FD by checking the adjoining storefronts and 2nd floor offices for any further extension by utilizing a thermal imaging camera. Once no further extension was found, Mohegan FD was released by Mahopac FD. All Mohegan units cleared the scene by 4:45pm. While our FAS-Team was operating in Mahopac, other Mohegan Firefighters responded to 2 small brush fires in our district.
