On Friday evening 11/14/14, Mohegan Fire and EMS responded to 2 separate accidents which caused the vehicles to land in precarious positions. the first accident was dispatched at 5:59pm at Amazon Rd and Oak St in Mohegan Lake. Upon arrival, units found a 1 vehicle accident that caused one vehicle to land off the roadway and precariously positioned on top of a rock. Mohegan EMS 69B2 transported 1 patient to Hudson Valley Hospital with non life threatening injuries. Mohegan Fire stoodby on scene until the vehicle was removed from the woods and the roadway was reopened. Also assisting on this scene was Yorktown 34Medic1 and Yorktown Police. All units cleared this scene by 7pm. The second accident was dispatched at 10:48pm on Rt. 202 in the area of the Peekskill Animal Hospital in Cortlandt. Mohegan units arrived and found a one vehicle accident with the vehicle landing up an embankment and precariously hanging on top of a metal chain link fence on the Holy Spirit Church property. This driver, like the other, suffered only minor injuries. Mohegan EMS 69B3 transported this driver to Hudson Valley Hospital with minor injuries. Mohegan Fire again stoodby until the vehicle was removed and the roadway was reopened. Westchester County Police and Cortlandt 35Medic1 assisted at this scene. All units cleared by 12:15am.
